This is for Barb who was looking for a Malted Milk Ball cake. Here is the one I
use.
Malted Milk Ball Cake
1 pkg. yellow or white cake mix
1 c. malted milk balls, coarsely chopped
1/4 c. natural flavor malted milk powder
1 1/4 c. water
1/3 c. veg. oil
3 eggs
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x13 pan (I use Bakers Joy). Mix
cake mix, malted milk balls and malted powder together. Add water, oil and eggs;
beat with electric mixer on low speed for 2 minutes. Pour into cake pan and bake
for 32 to 35 minutes or until done.
Cool on wire rack completely before icing.
Malted Milk Frosting
1/4 c. butter, softened
2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
2 T. natural flavor malted milk powder
1 T. baking cocoa
2 T. milk (might need a bit more for spreading consistency)
1 2/3 c. coarsely chopped malted milk balls
Beat all ingredients, EXCEPT malted milk balls with electric mixer on medium
speed until smooth. Frost cake then sprinkle with the malted milk balls.
Enjoy!
