This is a recipe for K asking for canned corn beef recipes.
I never named it as it is something I have been making for years

Corned Beef and Cabbage

3 or 4 med large potatoes, peel and dice and cook in lightly salted water until tender. Drain and hold but save 1 cup of cooking water.
Dice a 1/2 head of cabbage and cook until tender .
Make a white sauce with
2 tbs butter
2 tbs flour
2 cups milk

Melt butter in saucepan, add flour and stir well. Do not brown. Carefully add milk while stirring and cook to thicken. Add 2 tbs prepared mustard ( I use French's ) and salt and pepper to taste.

Open a can of corn beef, dice and set aside. Put the potatoes, cabbage and beef in the mustard sauce. Stir carefuly so not to break up the beef more than necessary. Adjust seasonings to taste. Mustard taste should be a little sharp. Can add potato water to thin if necessary.

Should have a slightly thin consistency as we eat it with a crusty buttered bread.

Do hope someone likes this !
