Death by Chocolate (corrected)

1 box (19.8 0z) fudge brownie mix
3 packages (4-serving size each) instant chocolate mousse
8 chocolate-covered toffee candy bars (1.4 oz each) (like skor or heath bars)
1 large container of Cool Whip (12 0z size)

Bake brownie mix according to directions. let cool. Prepare the chocolate mousse according to directions. Break the candy bars into small pieces in a food processor or by placing in zip lock bag and pounding with hammer.

Break up or cut brownies in bite sized pieces and place some to cover the bottom of trifle dish or a clear glass deep sided large bowl. Cover with half the mousse, than half the candy, than half the whipped topping. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.

I use regular instant chocolate pudding as I can't find chocolate mousse. This makes a beautiful presentation when using a trifle dish.
