Return to July
28-29,
2009
Dear Nancy & Friends,
I had to laugh when I saw the "Striped
Dessert" response in the July 27 newsletter
to Marlene's request for dessert recipes for her pastors
dinner. My TNT "secret" recipe for banana pudding for a
crowd involved a trip to Sam's also! I made the pudding out
of sheer necessity to serve at
a pig roast we hosted for 150 plus guests. The "recipe" is
always requested by those who don't know the secret at this
event.
Pig Roast Banana Pudding
2 regular sized boxes Vanilla Wafers
1 gallon can vanilla pudding (from Sam's)
1 - 2 lbs bananas sliced
1 1/2 large containers whipped topping
Place a layer of Vanilla Wafers on bottom of 1/2 size
aluminum steam pan. Top with a layer of sliced bananas. Pour
half the pudding on top. Repeat layers. Top with whipped
topping. Sprinkle several finely crushed vanilla wafers on
top. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
