Nancy, somehow, After going to bed last night it occurred to me that I had obviously sent the wrong recipe in for the Fruitcake Cookies from my sister-in-law as I was sure her recipe would not have had alcohol in them. So, after searching this morning, here is the correct recipe. Sorry for the error.

Fruitcake Cookies
Carolyn Wynn

2 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour
1 Teaspoon soda
1 Teaspoon salt
1 Teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 lb. chopped dates
1/2 lb. chopped candied cherries
1/2 lb. chopped pineapple
1 1/2 cup seedless raisins
1/2 lb.(2 cups) chopped English walnuts
1/2 lb. (2 cups) chopped pecans

Sift flour, soda, salt and cinnamon together. Mix butter until soft and creamy. Add sugar gradually. Continue mixing until smooth. Beat in eggs thoroughly, stir in sifted dry ingredients, fruits and nuts.

Drop batter from teaspoon on greased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes in 350 degree oven. Do not overcook. Makes about 150 small cookies.
