These are much healthier than the store
bought varieties.
Granola Bars
Mix:
1 2/3 cups quick rolled oats
Another - 1/3 cup oats, processed finely
1/4 cup sugar*
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2-3 cups dried fruits and nuts
Mix and add to above:
1/3 cup peanut butter
6 Tbs melted butter
1/4 cup honey, maple syrup
2 T light corn syrup
1 T water
*(u may want up to another 1/4 cup sugar
depending on your taste. I think it is
sweet enough with all the other sugary
ingredients)
Line a 9' pan with foil or parchment to
overlap. Grease it thoroughly.
Bake 350 30-40 minutes. After cooling,
lift hanging tabs and remove from pan.
Cut into desired size squares.
