requesting the Fruit Cocktail Cake;
taken from Nancyland 2006 recipes.
Fruit Cocktail Christmas Cake
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 lg. (3 1/2 c.) can fruit cocktail
2 beaten eggs
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. nuts
Mix all together, then sprinkle with
topping. Bake at 350 degrees for
approximately 1 hour.
Drizzle and soak glaze over top and
1/4 lb. butter
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. dark rum
Melt butter. Stir in water and sugar.
Boil 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat. Add rum and drizzle.
