Fruit Cocktail Recipes - Page 2 (10/18/2012)

Hi Nancy, In October 16, 2012 Susie, Indy asked for Fruit Cocktail Cake. This has been our family for years but we called it Mystery Pudding. It is a go to recipe when you don't know what to make for dessert.

Mystery Pudding

Sift together in one bowl
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp soda

In another bowl, whip 1 whole egg with 1 tsp vanilla. Add 2 cups fruit cocktail (both fruit and juice.)

Add to first mixture, mix well Put in greased 9x9 pan. Sprinkle batter with following mixture before baking:

1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.

Bake 1 hour in 325 degree oven. Top with whip cream and 1/2 maraschino cherry.

I have another desert our family always requested at gatherings I will send another time altho blueberry season is past.
