Crock Pot Pork Chop Recipes


Crockette Pork Chops (Crockpot) Recipe
Makes 2 Servings

2 boneless Pork chops (3/4" thick)
1 chicken bouillon cube
1/4 cup hot water
2 Tbsp Grey Poupon Mustard
2 small onions
freshly ground pepper

Start pork chop recipe with frozen chops. Start by searing both sides of the frozen chops. While searing, dissolve the bouillion in the hot water, and add the mustard. Stir well. Cut off the ends, and peel the onions, then cut in half cross wise to make 4 thick "wheels". Place the onions on the bottom of the crockette in a single layer. Once chops are seared, place them atop the onions. Sprinkle with fresh ground pepper to taste, and slowly add the liquid over all. cook it for about 4 1/2 hours.
A Crock-ette is a small crockpot (1-1/2 quarts)

Crockette Rancher's Pork Chops Recipe
Makes 2 Servings

2 lean pork chops
1 small onion, sliced
2 green peppers, sliced into rings
4 tablespoons catsup
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Brown chops to remove excess fat. Place onion slices in bottom of Crockette. Place pork chops on top of onion. Top with green pepper, catsup and brown sugar. Cover and cook for 7 to 9 hours.
A Crock-ette is a small crockpot (1-1/2 quarts)

Crock Pot Cherry Pork Chops Recipe
Serves 6.

6 pork chops, cut 3/4 inch thick
Salt
Pepper
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. instant chicken bouillon granules
1/8 tsp. ground mace
Parsley

Brown pork chops in skillet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. In crock pot stir together 1/2 of the can of cherry filling, lemon juice and bouillon granules. Mix well. Place pork chops on top of mixture. Cover and cook on low heat for 4 to 5 hours. Warm the other 1/2 of cherry filling and pass in sauce dish when serving chops.

Pork Chops and Kraut Recipe

8 pork Chops
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 pounds fresh sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup apple sauce

Heat the oil in a skillet and brown the chops. Mix the sauerkraut and apple sauce together. Layer the chops and kraut in the crockpot. Cover and cook on low about 8 hours.

Onion Pork Chops and Rice Recipe
Serves 4.

4 pork chops
1 cup rice, uncooked
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 can cream of mushroom soup
2 cups water

Pour rice into crockpot. Sprinkle with 1/3 onion soup mix. Place pork chops over rice. Pour mushroom soup over all. Sprinkle remaining onion soup mix over all. Add water. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

Crock Pot Pork Chops and Apples
Makes 4 Servings

4 pork loin or rib chops, 1/2 inch thick
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 1/2 cups fat free chicken broth
2 cups sliced onion, (1 large)
2 cups sliced cabbage
2 green apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Trim fat from pork. Mix flour, thyme, paprika and pepper in plastic bag. Add pork. Shake until pork is well coated. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray ovenproof Dutch oven with spray. Heat Dutch oven over medium high heat. Cook pork until brown on both sides. Remove pork and add broth . Scrape bottom with wooden spoon to loosen any brown bits. Heat to boiling. Stir in onions and cabbage. Cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Top with pork and apples. Cover and bake 1 hour until pork is tender. Sprinkle with parsley. Crockpot Pork Chops the Marple Way Recipe
Makes 6 Servings

6 lean pork chops
1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. salt
1 (10 oz.) can chicken and rice soup
1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. oil

Coat pork chops in mixture of flour, salt, dry mustard and garlic powder. Brown in oil in skillet. Place browned pork chops in crock pot. Add can of soup. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3-1/2 hours.

Pork Chops with Mushroom Gravy Recipe
Makes 8 Servings

8 small thick pork chops
2 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
1/8 teaspoon of sage
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 tablespoon of dried onion flakes
2 tablespoon of oil

Trim the excess fat from the pork chops. In a large frying pan, over high heat, brown each chop lightly on both sides in the hot oil. Salt and pepper each as it finished browning and place in the crock pot. Add the sage. After all the pork chops are browned, turn the soup, undiluted and the onion flakes into the still hot skillet. Scrape the pan juices and turn them into the cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, or until the chops are tender.

Pork Chops with Apple Gravy
Pork Chops with Apple Gravy Recipe

Apples and pork is a classic combination but the apple gravy is a different twist. We like this with new red potatoes. The apple cider is not dominant so the gravy works well with potatoes.
You can make this on the stovetop or cook your pork chops on the grill. If you cook the pork chops on the grill, you won’t have drippings for the gravy. We have given you an alternative using Instant Clearjel and butter. With Instant Clearjel, you don’t have to cook the gravy so it is very easy to make. Of course,

you can pan fry your pork chops and still use Clearjel.

(Recipe for pan fried pork chops with gravy using flour)

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
salt and pepper
4 large pork chops
2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup apple cider or apple juice

Pour the vegetable oil in large skillet. Salt and pepper the pork chops. Pan fry the pork chops over medium-high heat until done. Set the pork chops on a platter and keep warm until ready to serve.

Scrape loose the drippings in the bottom of the pan. You should have some fatty liquid in the pan. Whisk in the flour and cook for one minute to make thick a slurry.

Whisk in the broth and cider. Cook until the gravy bubbles, the starch gelatinizes, and thickens.

4 large pork chops
3 tablespoon Instant Clearjel
1 cup chicken broth
1 cup apple cider or apple juice
2 tablespoons butter

Heat the grill and salt and pepper the pork chops. Cook the pork chops on the grill turning them once.

While the pork chops are cooking, make the gravy. Put the Instant Clearjel in medium microwave safe bowl. Add about half of the broth and stir to make a paste.

Add the rest of the broth and apple juice stirring after each addition. Some lumps will remain. Add the butter.

Heat the gravy in the microwave until it is hot, not boiling. Stir the hot gravy to finish melting the butter. Let the gravy sit for five to ten minutes. Stir before serving. It should be smooth.
Note: Three tablespoons Clearjel makes a thick gravy. When we made it, it was not thick at first. After heating and sitting for five minutes, it was. This is a very easy way to make gravy.

Cola Pork Chops Recipe
Serves 8

2 pounds pork chops
1 cup ketchup
8 ounces cola, Coke, Dr. Pepper

Combine ketchup and cola. Place chops in crockpot. Pour cola mixture over chops. Cook 2 hours on high and cook several hours on low but at least for 2 hours. Baste occasionally if desired..

Corn Stuffed Pork Chops Recipe
Serves 5 to 6.

5 to 6 pork chops, 1 to 2 inches thick
1 7 ounce can whole kernel corn, undrained
1 cup soft bread crumbs
1 tablespoon instant minced onion
2 tablespoons minced green pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sage

Cut a horizontal slit in side of each chop forming a pocket for stuffing. Mix undrained corn, bread crumbs, onion, pepper, salt and sage. Spoon corn mixture into slits. Close with toothpicks. Place on metal rack or trivet in slow cooking pot. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

Crock Pot Pork Chops and Tomatoes Recipe
Makes 4 Servings

1 can (8 oz.) stewed tomatoes
1/4 c. instant minced onions
1 tsp. each garlic salt, oregano and sugar
1/2 tsp. Pepper
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 tsp. (double) hickory-smoked flavored barbeque sauce
4 loin pork chop steaks, 3/4 inch thick

Throw everything into crockpot. Cook at least 8 hours on low.

Crock Pot Pork Chops and Dressing Recipe
Makes 4 Servings

4 Pork chops
3 c. soft bread cubes (or seasoned)
2 tsp. chopped onion
1/4 c. melted margarine
1/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 c. cream of mushroom soup
1/3 c. water

Brown pork chops and drain. Mix 3 cups soft bread cubes, 2 teaspoons chopped onion, 1/4 cup melted margarine, 1/4 cup water, and 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning. Place chops in Crockpot and put a mound of stuffing on each chop. Blend 1 cup cream of mushroom soup (or cream of celery) with 1/3 cup water. Pour over chops and stuffing. Put on low for 6-8 hours.

Crock Pot Pork Chops and Potatoes Recipe
Makes 6 Servings

6 pork chops, 3/4 inch thick
Salt & pepper
1 tbsp. cooking oil
3 tbsp. Margarine
4 c. seasoned croutons
3/4 c. water, divided
3 med. potatoes, quartered
1 can mushroom soup

Brown pork chops in a Dutch oven in oil; add salt and pepper. Melt margarine, then mix croutons with margarine and add 1/4 cup water. Shape crouton mixture into small balls and place them on top of the pork chops. Place potato quarters around chops, pour soup on top of the entire dish, add 1/2 cup water and cook 6-8 hours on low in the crockpot.

Crockpot Pork Chops with Peaches
Makes 6 Servings

6 pork chops; brown in skillet.
Place in crock pot.

Mix and pour over pork chops:
1/4 c. vinegar
1/4 c. syrup from canned peach halves
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves.

Place drained peach halves on top of chops before pouring sauce over them. Cook 6 hours on low.

Crock Pot Pork Chops and Gravy Recipe
Serves 4-5.

4-5 pork chops
1 pkg. Lipton onion soup mix
1 can cream of chicken soup
10 oz. water

Trim pork chops of excess fat and cut into "stew size" pieces. Lightly brown and place in bottom of crock pot. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over pork. Cook 4-6 hours on low until tender. Serve over rice or with mashed potatoes.

Crock Pot Smothered Fried Pork Chops Recipe
Makes 6 Servings

1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp salt
1-1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 tsp garlic powder
6 pork chops, trimmed
2 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
1/3 cup water

In a shallow bowl, combine flour, salt, mustard and garlic powder; dredge pork chops. In a skillet, brown the chops on both sides in oil. Place in a crockpot. Combine soup and water; pour over chops. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until meat is tender. If desired, thicken pan juices and serve with the pork chops.

Crock Pot Hawaiian Pork Chops Recipe
Serves 6

6 lean boneless pork chops or cutlets
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 ( 8 oz.) can pineapple chunks in juice
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
1 papaya, peeled, seeded and sliced
Toasted coconut and /or chopped macadamia nuts

Place chops in crockpot. In small bowl combine mustard, vinegar, hoisin sauce, salt and pepper. Drain juice from pineapple and add juice to mustard mixture; reserve pineapple. Pour sauce over chops in crockpot. Cover and cook on LOW 5 to 6 hours or until meat is tender. Remove chops and keep warm. Turn control to HIGH. Dissolve cornstarch in water in small bowl, stir cornstarch into juices in crockpot. Cover and cook 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in pineapple and papaya. Serve chops with sauce and add coconut and nuts if desired.

Macaroni and Cheese Recipes Submitted by Robbie IN
This is for Diane WI, who wanted to know what she could substitute for Velveeta cheese in a recent macaroni and cheese recipe. I know there are store brands of the cheese, which are less expensive, but I have never thought they tasted the same. Here are two other recipes you may wish to consider. Even with these the cheese is expensive. The second recipe is from a 5/09 newsletter and is compliments of Dorothy from WA/AZ.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese Crock Pot

2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) butter, cut into pieces
2 1/2 cups (about 10 ounces) grated sharp Cheddar cheese
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup sour cream
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
1/2 teaspoon salt- I omit this
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Boil the macaroni in a 2 quart saucepan in plenty of water until tender, about 7 minutes. Drain. In a medium saucepan, mix butter and cheese. Stir until the cheese melts. In a slow cooker, combine cheese/butter mixture and add the eggs, sour cream, soup, salt, milk, mustard and pepper and stir well. Then add drained macaroni and stir again. Set the slow cooker on low setting and cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

Best Macaroni and Cheese

1 lb. good quality sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 lb. mozzarella cheese, grated
3 cups whole milk
7 T. unsalted butter
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 c. freshly grated Romano cheese
2 t. Tabasco
1/3 t. white pepper

1 and 1/8 lbs. fresh rigatoni (If you use dried, use just under a pound. It must have ridges on it--do not use smooth pasta or it will not be the same.)

3/4 t. chili powder or hot paprika, for top
3/4 c. whole milk for finishing

Combine grated cheddar and mozzarella and set aside.

In a small saucepan, heat the 3 c. milk until almost boiling. Turn off heat. Melt butter in a heavy pan large enough to hold the pasta after it is cooked.

When foam from butter recedes, remove from heat, add flour, and mix well. Return to medium-low heat, and stirring occasionally, simmer for 3 to 4 minutes to cook, but not brown, the flour. Gradually stir in hot milk. Raise heat to medium-high and continue stirring until mixture is smooth and thick--about

5 minutes. Add Parmesan and Romano cheeses. Whisk until smooth. Add Tabasco and white pepper and blend.

Cook rigatoni in boiling salted water about 4 minutes for fresh. It will be underdone, but will finish cooking later. If using dried pasta, cook a little longer, but not until too soft. Drain pasta well, and fold into sauce.

If cooking immediately, preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Layer 1/2 of the rigatoni mixture into a 9 X 13 pan. Top with 1/2 of the cheese mixture. Repeat layers. Top with chili powder, sprinkled evenly over top.

If not baking immediately, cover tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate or freeze. When ready to bake, drizzle the 3/4 c. milk over the dish. Bake for about 1 hour. If frozen, add at least 30 minutes to baking time. The dish should be rusty brown on top. Should it brown too fast, cover lightly with foil

for part of the cooking time. Be sure to check in the middle of the dish for doneness.
