I would like to have a recipe for pasta salad using the colorful twisted pasta curls. I had a recipe at one time using Red Wine Vinegar Salad Dressing, but I have lost it My recipe contained sliced olives, parmesan cheese and the Red Wine Vinegar. There was other ingredients but I don't remember what they were?
This recipe site is one of the best on the net. I didn't find it till last week and I am so glad I did.

I am looking for a recipe for dessert pizza. I remember it having a regular pie crust, and it had cream cheese and then you spread your favorite jam in pizza sections on the top. Can you or anyone else help?

How do you cook rice so it's not sticky and the grains are separate.

I had a rice pudding one time I cant find the recipe any where it had a very thick custard on the top and was very delicious I would like to know if you may have the recipe. I would really appreciate it if you have it if you could email it to me.

I ran across this recipe in my recipe box today. It was from the 70s era and have used it often in the past.

Stuffed Cupcakes Recipe

1 pkg. chocolate or butterscotch cake mix
Mix cake mix according to recipe on box.
Fill cupcakes 3/4 full.

Center Mixture
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1 egg, beaten
1 c. sugar
1 (6 oz.) chocolate chips or butterscotch chips

Mix egg with cream cheese and sugar. Add chocolate chips or butterscotch chips. Mix well. Put 2 teaspoons of filling in center of each cupcake. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

We make chicken breast sandwiches from the charcoal grill. The day before, thaw if frozen, the chicken breasts. Sometimes they are very large, so you can halve them if you wish.

Marinate in the Zesty Italian dressing. I think personally it has to be the zesty kind because it has garlic in it. Marinate overnight and just before you need your sandwiches, take them out of the marinade and charcoal them until juices run clear (I think 160°). We also use fresh cracked pepper on the cb before charcoaling.

I prefer to have a good sandwich bun and toast it lightly or to your liking. On both sides of the warm toasted bun, place a slice of gouda sliced cheese. Place the chicken breast on one side of the bun, 2-3 slices of tomatoes, peppered, some bacon slices and on the other side of the bun put some "slather" we call it, Kraft Sandwich Spread. It's quite delicious. I guarantee you will not be hungry after you eat this sandwich.

This is an exceptional tasty salad. I like to add a chopped tomato too. The salad seasoning can be found in the seasoning and spices section at the grocery store.

Western Crisp Salad Recipe

1 head lettuce, torn in bite-size pieces
8 slices bacon
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 hard cooked eggs, diced
1 bunch small green onions, sliced
2 cups canned shoestring potatoes

Cook bacon until crisp; drain and crumble. Toss all ingredients together in a big bowl and add dressing.

6 tbsp. cooking oil
3 tbsp. cider vinegar
2 tbsp. chopped parsley
1-1/2 tsp. salt - I cut in half
2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. dry salad seasoning
1/4 tsp. pepper
Generous dash garlic powder

Mix all ingredients together well (I use a jar to mix it in). Chill for 1 hour and toss with salad. Serve immediately after putting it together. The canned potatoes get soggy if it sits too long before serving.

This is a excellent side dish to serve in place of potatoes, and is one my hubby has always enjoyed so much.

Crispy Baked Macaroni & Cheese Recipe

3 cups cooked macaroni
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp. prepared mustard
Pepper, to taste
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
1 cup canned French-fried onions

In a 1-1/2 quart casserole, blend soup, milk, mustard and pepper until smooth. Stir in the cooked macaroni and 1-1/2 cups cheese. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes, uncovered. Top with canned French onions and remaining cheese and bake 10 minutes longer.
Makes 4 hearty servings.

This is really a tasty chocolate chip cookie with a hint of nutmeg added to the batter. I always have to double these, as they never last long in our house, or whenever I take them anywhere!

Nutty Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

1 cup flour
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate baking chips

Cream together butter, vanilla and egg. Stir in dry ingredients. Add walnuts and chocolate chips. Drop by tbsp. onto lightly greased baking sheets, about 2 to 3 inches apart. Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes, or until cookies spring back when lightly touched in the center. Let stand about 1 minute before removing to wire racks to cook completely.

This is such a good pie from the 1st bite to the last and leaves you wanting more! I'm sure you could use 2 cups cool Whip in place of whipping cream. If you use frozen berries, be sure and drain well.

Raspberry Fluff Pie Recipe

1-9 inch baked pie crust
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
8 oz. marshmallows
1 cup whipping cream, whipped till thick
1 cup fresh, or frozen raspberries
Extra raspberries for garnish

Heat orange juice and marshmallows on low heat until marshmallows are melted. Cool until partially set (doesn't take too long). Fold in whipped cream and berries and put in prepared pie crust. Chill well. Before serving, top with a few raspberries.

This is for the person who wanted Beef enchilada recipe.

Beef Enchiladas Recipe

2 Tbs. canola oil
2 Tbs. all-purpose flour
One 28-oz. can enchilada sauce
2 cups chicken broth
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper

1 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
The Rest:
Canola oil, for frying
10 to 14 corn tortillas
Two 4-oz. cans diced green chilies
1 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup chopped black olives
3 cups grated sharp Cheddar cheese
Cilantro, for garnish

For the sauce:
In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the canola oil and flour. Whisk together and allow to bubble for 1 minute. Pour in the red sauce, chicken broth, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer while you prepare the other ingredients.

For the meat:
While the sauce is simmering, brown the ground beef with the onions in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain the fat, add the salt and stir to combine. Turn off the heat and set aside.

For the rest:
In a small skillet over medium heat, heat some canola oil. Lightly fry the tortillas just until soft. Do not crisp. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat until all the tortillas have been fried. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Spread 1/2 cup of the sauce in the bottom of a 9- by 13-inch baking dish. Next, one at a time, dip each tortilla into the sauce. Set the sauce-soaked tortilla on a plate. Place on some of the meat mixture, chilies, green onions and black olives. Top with a generous portion of grated Cheddar. Roll up the tortilla to contain the filling inside.
Place the tortilla seam side down in the baking dish. Repeat with the rest of the tortillas and pour the remaining sauce over the top. End with a generous sprinkling of cheese and any other bits of chiles, green onions or olives you have left over from the filling.
Bake the enchiladas for 20 minutes, or until bubbly. Sprinkle chopped cilantro over the top and serve. Serves 8.

Here is my recipe for Pork chops. I love to do these on the gas grill too.

Pork Chop Marinade Recipe

1/2 cup peanut oil (no substitutions)
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. liquid hickory smoke
1 tsp. garlic power or 3 cloves fresh pressed
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1/4 cup parsley flakes

Marinade pork chops or tenderloin in a Ziploc bag for at least 4 hours, shaking often. One can also freeze bags of pork chops, marinade and all. They will last up to 6 mos. in the freezer if you burp all of the air out of the Ziploc first.

Edna Lewis' Potatoes Scalloped in Broth

5 - 6 large white potatoes, peeled
1 bud garlic, peeled, & 2 tsp. minced garlic
Butter, not a lot
1/2 of a small onion
Freshly ground black pepper
3 - 4 c. beef broth

Cut bud of garlic in half; rub all over insides of a 2 qt. casserole, then butter casserole lightly. Put about 1/3 of the minced garlic in bottom of casserole; add 1/3 of the onion. Very very thinly slice in 1 1/2 or 2 of the potatoes; dot with butter & grind pepper over them. Repeat twice: garlic, onion, potato, pepper. Then slice in last of the potatoes, pour the broth over to ALMOST cover them, dot with butter & grind pepper on once more. Bake uncovered 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes at 350º. Potatoes must be tender, & the top browned with some crispy brown edges. A good garnish is snipped chives if you'd like one. We like food well-flavored & added to Edna's quantity; if you don't, go lighter on garlic & pepper.
For Cathy, this pleases even my DH who does not like regular eggplant or cheese, so it is very TNT at our house. You could probably use regular if you peel it.

Beef and Eggplant Pie Recipe

2 c. cubed eggplant (2 small skinny purple ones are good for us)
3 T. butter
3/4 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
1 large rib celery with leaves, chopped
1 heaping tsp. minced garlic
8 oz. tomato sauce
1 stem snipped parsley plus 2-3 mint leaves, snipped, or use dry
1/2 T. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. seasoned pepper
1 9" unbaked pastry pie shell
1/2 to 3/4 c. shredded mozzarella

In a small skillet sauté eggplant in butter till tender, about 5 minutes.
In a large skillet, cook beef, onion, & celery on Medium till beef is no longer pink; drain; stir in garlic. Add eggplant, tomato sauce, herbs & seasonings; bring to a boil. Take off heat. Spoon into shell. Bake at 375º for 20 minutes, sprinkle with cheese & bake 12 minutes more. Rest 8 minutes before cutting. Serves 4 with green salad.

Bonnie's Marinade Recipes

For Linda NM, who asked for marinades for grilling. Here are several that we use all the time.

Albie's Beef Marinade
1 envelope Italian salad dressing mix
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
3 Tbls teriyaki sauce

Whisk all together & place in lg zip bag with steak. Marinate at least 4 hours or all day.

Bonnie's Beef Marinade

1 small onion, chopped
9 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 cup olive oil
3/4 cup balsamic vinegar
3/4 cup soy sauce
3 Tbls Dijon mustard
3 Tbls fresh rosemary, chopped
1 Tbls salt
2 tsp black pepper

Place all ingredients in food processor or blender & process until smooth. Place enough marinade in lg zip bag with steak to cover & refrigerate 30 minutes up to 2 hours.
Use leftover marinade for basting as you grill.

Grilled Pineapple Pork Chops
Serves 6

6 bone-in pork chops
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
3 Tbls soy sauce
20 oz can pineapple slices, drain & reserve 1/4 cup juice

Whisk together the brown sugar, salad dressing, soy sauce & pineapple juice. Place 3/4 cup of marinade in lg zip bag with chops & refrigerate at least 3 hours or up to all day. Grill chops, using remaining marinade for basting both chops & pineapple slices.

Skillet Barbecue Recipe

1/2 cup chopped Onions
3 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 (12 oz.) can Spam cut in julienne strips
Cook onion in butter until tender. Add other ingredients. Simmer uncovered 15 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns. Makes 6 servings.

Sauce also good with leftover ham and used as a barbecue sauce for

Eggplant and Tomato Sandwich Recipe

Slice eggplant. Salt both sides. Drain on paper towels.
Rinse well. Coat with olive oil.
Grill slices (I use a George Foreman grill)

Slice tomato. Sprinkle with basil. In sandwich, layer 1 slice of eggplant, 1 slice of tomato & feta cheese to taste. (Slices can be diced and put  in a pocket)
