This stew is really delicious. We like it served over hot buttered noodles.

Sweet and Sour Stew Recipe

2 tbsp. cooking oil
2-1/2 lbs. beef stew meat, cut into 1" cubes
2 medium carrots, cut up in small chunks
1 onion, chopped
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. cold water
2 tsp. cornstarch

Brown meat in hot oil in 3 quart saucepan and drain. Add all remaining ingredients, except cold water and cornstarch. Cover and over low heat until meat and carrots are tender. about 1-1/2 hours. Blend cornstarch into cold water and add to stew and cook and stir until thickened.
