Barbecue Chicken on a Grill Recipe

Cooking Sauce
1 stick butter
1 c. vinegar
Little water
1 family pack chicken

Melt butter in small saucepan and add vinegar and water. Bring to boil. rush on chicken pieces and wrap them in aluminum foil. You can wrap 2 or 3 pieces together if small. Put on rack on charcoal grill and steam until tender, approximately 1 hour. Remove foil and baste wit bar-b-que sauce, leaving them on grill until browned

Bar-B-Cue Sauce
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. paprika
1 tsp. sugar
1 med. onion, finely chopped
1 c. tomato puree or ketchup
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. hot water
1/3 c. lemon juice
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Directions
Mix all ingredients in saucepan. Heat to boil and remove from heat.

This morning I heard Ditto and Little One making sweet sounds as they were looking out the window.  There in the back yard were two mother cats with their little kittens. It was so cute to see them playing with each other.  The kittens were so little and could barely walk.  Ditto and Little One both enjoyed the kittens as much as I did.  My backyard is a safe place for cats and kittens to play. 

I went out and put a big pan of water so they would have something to drink in this 100 degree weather.  The mother cats and kittens both thought the pan of water was to bath in more than to drink from.  Soon the birds from bathing in the water as well.  I did they only thing I could, I put a another big pan of water in the yard so the birds could have fun as well. It was so much fun to watch the mama cats, kittens and birds co-exist in the same yard without any problems. This evening the mama cats and kittens went home.  Hopefully tomorrow they will be back so we can watch them again.

Little One is back to normal now.  He his gotten spoiled with all the attention he got while he was healing.  His favorite thing to do is to let me brush him.  I have a glove that is a brush. He loves for me to brush him when I watch TV.  I have to put on old clothes so I won't get hair all over me.  Today while working on the this newsletter he was meowing and trying to tell me something.  I told him I didn't know what he was trying to tell me.  In a little bit he came back with the glove and look at me with those sweet eyes.  I couldn't tell him no.  You can blame Little One for they delay tonight in getting the newsletter sent out.

Grilled French Dressing Chicken Recipe

I
ngredients
1/2 c. low calorie creamy French dressing
1/4 c. dry White wine
2 1/2 to 3 lb. frying chicken, cut-up, skinned*

Directions
Microwave-to-grill directions: Combine dressing and wine in 12 x 8-inch (2-quart) microwave-safe baking dish. Add chicken pieces; turn to coat. Cover; refrigerate 1 to 2 hours. Prepare charcoal fire for grilling. Drain chicken; reserve marinade. Cover marinade; refrigerate. Arrange chicken in same baking dish with thickest pieces to outside. Cover with microwave-safe plastic wrap. Microwave on HIGH for 8 to 12 minutes or until outer edges of chicken begin to cook; drain. Immediately place chicken on grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 15 to 20 minutes or until chicken is tender, turning once and brushing with marinade the last 5 minutes. Makes 4 to 5 servings.
Tip: *If desired, skin may be left on chicken.

Grilled Beef Steak with Beer BBQ Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
BBQ Sauce:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 cup minced onion
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1 can beer
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
3 tablespoons light molasses
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon freshly ground powder

Steak Dry Rub:
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper
1 top round steak, 1 1/2 inches thick, 2 1/2 to 3 pounds

Make barbecue sauce: Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium high heat. Add onion and cook until translucent, 3 to 5 minutes. Add remaining sauce ingredients and bring to a boil, stirring. Reduce heat to low and simmer, partially covered, 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Makes 2 cups. Prepare grill. Combine chili powder, paprika, salt, sugar, black and red peppers in cup. Rub spice mixture all over steak. Grill 6 minutes per side. Brush entire steak with 1/2 cup barbecue sauce. Cook 1 to 2 minutes per side. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with remaining sauce.
Makes 8 servings.

Grilled Salmon with Pineapple Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
Combine in sauce pan:
1 pineapple that has been peeled and cored and cut into 1 inch pieces
2 Tablespoons lime juice
1/2 to 1 teaspoon minced jalapeno pepper
2 cloves garlic minced
Heat to boiling then reduce heat and simmer uncovered 5 minutes. Add 2 Tablespoons cilantro

Directions
Mix in a cup 1 Tablespoon cornstarch and 2 Tablespoons water. Add to above mixture, stir to boil. When thickened remove and cool 2 minutes. Stir in 2 Tablespoons Nutra sweet or other sweetener. Salt & pepper to taste. Serve over grilled Salmon. 3 ounce Serving: 185 calories 16 g carbs 3 g fat

Barbecue Beef Short Ribs Recipe

Ingredients
3 or 4 lb. beef short ribs
3 tbsp. shortening
1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
1/4 c. vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 c. catsup
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 tsp. salt

Directions
Brown ribs well on all sides in shortening. Combine all other ingredients in bowl and pour over browned meat. Cover tightly and simmer for 2 hours or until meat is tender. Turn occasionally.

Barbecue Beans and Ribs Recipe

Ingredients
4 (15 oz.) cans pork and beans
Pork ribs or chops (fat removed)
18 oz. barbecue sauce

Directions
Pour beans into crock pot. Place raw pork on top of beans. Cover with barbecue sauce. Cook overnight (8 hours) over low.

Barbecue Pork Chops and Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
4 pork chops
4 potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
1 bottle barbecue sauce
1/2 onion, diced
Salt and pepper

Directons
Brown pork chops in skillet. Drain grease. Put in potatoes, onion. Mix barbecue sauce with water half and half enough to cover potatoes. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and simmer 45 minutes or until potatoes are done.

Ginger Ale Barbecue Ham Recipe

Ingredients
1- 1/2 c. ginger ale
1 c. Heinz chili sauce (you can usually add the whole 12 ounce bottle)
1 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 lb. chipped ham

Directions
Cook for 15 minutes the following: Then add: Cook 15 minutes longer.

Barbecued Country Ribs Recipe

3-5 lb. pork or country ribs
1 c. catsup
4 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. mustard
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Boil ribs until fork tender; drain broth off and cover; chill. Make sauce from rest of ingredients. Place ribs in 13 x 9 inch oven dish. Pour sauce over ribs. Bake 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees.

Jack Daniels Barbecue Sauce Recipe

1 tablespoon shallots, minced
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1/2 bottle Worcestershire sauce
2 ounces Jack Daniels whiskey
4 ounces cold butter
1 teaspoon parsley, chopped
pinch black pepper

Saute shallots and garlic in Worcestershire sauce. Reduce by half. Add black pepper and whiskey. Flame. Off of heat, whisk in butter; add parsley. Use on grilled steaks and tenderloin.

Oven Barbecued Chicken Breasts Recipe

Ingredients
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 garlic cloves minced
1 cup no-salt-added canned tomatoes
1/2 cup pineapple juice
3 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon molasses
3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 bone-in chicken breast halves about 1 skinned
1/2 pounds total)

Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Heat the oil in a medium saucepan until hot but not smoking. Add the garlic and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until softened, about 30seconds. Stir in the tomatoes, breaking them up with the back of a spoon. Add the pineapple juice, honey, vinegar, molasses, ginger and salt. Bring to a boi land cook until the sauce has thickened, about 5 minutes. Spray a shallow roasting pan with nonstick cooking spray. Place the chicken in the pan, spoon the sauce on top, and bake for 20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. Preheat the broiler. Broil the chicken 4 inches from the heat for 2 minutes ,or until the sauce has caramelized.
