Re: Nancy, I have so many recipes that I have been going though them and I came to this one Hamburger Gravy from Abby in Atlanta newsletter September 5th. My question is what do you put this recipe over?

Cherry Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
4 (6 ounces) Chicken Breast (boneless, skinless)
1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
1/3 Cup Cherry Preserves
Dash Ground Allspice

Directions
Pat chicken dry and place on rack of boiler pan. Broil 4-inches from heat for 6 minutes. Brush with lemon juice. Turn chicken over and brush with remaining juice and broil 6-9minutes longer or until tender and no longer pink. In small saucepan heat cherry preserves and allspice. Spoon over chicken breast and serve.

Chicken and Macaroni Salad Recipe

Ingredients
2 c. cubed cooked chicken or turkey
2 tbsp. minced onion
Salt to taste
2 c. green grapes
2 c. diced celery
2 c. mandarin oranges
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1 box cooked macaroni rings
2 c. salad dressing (not mayonnaise)
2 c. heavy cream, whipped

Directions
Combine first 3 ingredients. Refrigerate overnight. Add all remaining ingredients except for cream. Mix well. Refrigerate. Add whip cream before serving.

Chicken Breasts in Sour Cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
6 chicken breasts, split and boned
2 c. sour cream
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. worcestershire sauce
3 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. bread crumbs
1/2 c. margarine, melted
1/2 c. butter, melted

Directions
Rinse chicken breasts and pat dry. In bowl, combine sour cream, lemon juice and seasonings. Roll chicken breasts in sour cream mixture, place in bowl and top with any remaining sour cream. Cover; refrigerate overnight. Remove chicken breasts, taking up as much of sour cream mixture as possible. Roll chicken in bread crumbs to coat well. Place in baking dish. Mix margarine and butter; pour half the melted butter and margarine over chicken and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Pour remaining butter sauce over chicken and bake 5 minutes more.
Serves 6.

Chicken Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients
1 c. chicken, diced and cooked
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 c. long grain rice, uncooked
1/3 c. salad oil
2-1/2 c. chicken broth
2-1/2 c. onion, coarsely chopped
1/4 c. green pepper, finely chopped
1/4 c. celery, thinly sliced
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. lettuce, finely shredded

Directions
Combine chicken, soy sauce and 1/2 teaspoon salt and let stand for 15 minutes. Cook rice in hot oil in skillet over medium heat until golden brown, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and add chicken with soy sauce and broth. Simmer, covered, for 20 to 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Remove cover for last few minutes. Stir in onion, green pepper and celery. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat until liquid is absorbed. Push rice mixture to side of skillet and add eggs. Cook until almost set, then blend into rice. Stir in lettuce and serve at once.

Chicken Salad Sandwich Filling Recipe

Ingredients
1 c. shredded chicken, cooked
1 stalk finely diced celery
Pinch of tarragon
Salt and pepper to taste
2 or 3 tbsp. Hellmann's mayonnaise

Directions
Mix ingredients together until well blended. Spread on your choice of bread.

Chicken and Tator Tot Pie Recipe

Ingredients
4 cups frozen tater tots
1 tablespoon margarine or butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cups diced, cooked chicken
1 10 oz. pkg. frozen mixed vegetables, (2 cups)
1 10 3/4 oz. can condensed cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup milk

Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large skillet, cook onion in margarine over medium-high heat until onion is tender. Add chicken, vegetables, undiluted soup and milk. Cook over medium heat until hot and bubbly, stirring occasionally. Cover and cook an additional 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Spoon chicken mixture into ungreased 2-quart casserole. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top. Bake for 40 minutes or until bubbly and potatoes are lightly browned. Serves 5 to 6.

Chicken Taco Soup Recipe

Ingredients
1 lg. can chicken broth
4 chicken breasts, cooked & shredded
1 (14-16 ounce) can tomatoes
1 (14-16 ounce) can corn
1 (14-16 ounce) can kidney beans
1 pkg. Lawry's taco seasoning
1 regular pkg. Tostitos, crushed

Directions
Combine all ingredients and simmer 1/2 hour. Top with shredded cheese, additional Tostitos and sour cream.

Pork Chop and Green Bean Casserole Recipe

Ingredients
6 rib or loin pork chops, 3/4" thick
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen cut green beans, defrosted
2 cans cream of celery soup
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt

Directions
Brown chops, season with salt and pepper. Mix together beans, soups, milk and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Pour mixture into a 2 quart baking dish. Arrange pork chops on top. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until meat is done.

Hot Green Bean Salad Recipe

Ingredients
1 1/2 pound fresh green beans
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
1 cup small pitted ripe olives
1/2 cup bottled Italian dressing
1 large tomato, chopped

Directions
Prepare and cook green beans, cut into 1-inch pieces, as directed. Cook beans, onions, olives and dressing uncovered over medium heat just until onion is tender, about 3 minutes; sprinkle with tomato.

Green Beans and Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
2 quarts fresh green beans
1/4 pound salt pork
1/4 c. bacon fat or cooking oil
6 medium white potatoes
salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Wash and break beans into small pieces. Put beans, salt pork and bacon fat in a saucepan with a lid. Cover beans with water and cook 45 minutes over medium heat. Peel, wash and quarter potatoes. Add potatoes to green beans. Allow to simmer until potatoes are fork-tender. Remove from heat. Add salt and pepper to taste; stir. Serve hot.

Crock Pot Tomatoes and Rice Recipe

Ingredients
4 slices bacon, fried & crumbled
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
2 cans chopped tomatoes, (15 oz each)
1 cup converted rice
1/2 to 1 cup cooked chopped ham
salt and pepper, to taste
1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, or to taste

Directions
Fry bacon; drain and crumble. Cook onion in bacon grease just until softened. Combine all ingredients in the slow crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours, or until rice is tender but not mushy.
Serves 6.

Fried Green Tomatoes Recipe

Ingredients
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
4-6 medium green tomatoes, sliced 1/2" thick
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup milk
1 cup seasoned dry bread crumbs
3 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoons cooking oil

Directions
Combine sugar and flour; place on a shallow plate. Dip both sides of each tomato slice into the mixture. Combine egg and milk. Dip each tomato slice; then dip in bread crumbs. In a skillet, heat butter and oil over medium-high. Fry until brown on both sides, but firm enough to hold their shape.

Grilled Tomatoes Recipe

Ingredients
6 tomatoes
1 green pepper
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. dried bread crumbs
Butter

Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cut tomatoes in half (removing stems) and place in baking dish. Cut rounds of green pepper on top. Sprinkle with sugar and dried bread crumbs alternately. Add dot of butter in center. Bake 1 hour. Serves 6
