Beef Stuffed Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
6 tbsp. butter
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
6 med. potatoes, baked
1/4 cup milk
1 small onion, minced
1 tbsp. parsley flakes
1/2 cup celery, finely chopped
1 can cheddar cheese soup
3 slices American cheese, halved

Directions:
Brown beef in 1 tbsp. butter in skillet; add the salt and pepper; set aside. Cut baked potatoes in half lengthwise and scoop out pulp into large bowl. Mash and add remaining butter and the milk. Beat well and add beef and remaining ingredients, except cheese. Fill shells with the mixture and put on baking sheet. Top each with a half slice of cheese and bake in hot oven, 400 degrees, about 15 minutes.Brown beef in 1 tbsp. butter in skillet; add the salt and pepper; set aside. I'm wondering if Sherry's friend's grandmother might have steamed the No Bake Chocolate Cake. I had a friend that made what she called "cakes" by steaming them in a mold sort of pan. I don't remember that she made chocolate cakes but other flavor were great.

Crock Pot Pizza Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
8 med. Potatoes
2 lg. Onions
1 lb. smoked sausage
1 tsp. Salt
2 (8 oz.) cans pizza sauce

Directions
Peel potatoes and cut in half, place in crockpot. Cut smoked sausage into pieces and place on top of potatoes. Chop onion. Pour pizza sauce on top, cook in crockpot until potatoes are tender.
Makes 6 Servings

Crock Pot Pork Chops And Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients
6 pork loin chops
2 Tablespoons cooking oil
1 Can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 Cup chicken broth
1/4 Cup Dijon mustard
1/2 Teaspoon dried thyme, crushed
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 Teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
6 Medium potatoes, sliced thin
1 onion, sliced

Directions
In skillet brown pork chops on both sides in hot oil. Drain fat. In any size crockpot, mix cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, mustard, thyme, garlic and pepper. Add potatoes and onion, stirring to coat. Place browned chops on top of potato mixture Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours or on HIGH 4 to 5 hours. Yields 6 servings.

Potato Salad with Balsamic Dressing Recipe

Ingredients
2 Pounds new red potatoes
1 Cup sour cream
1/4 Cup balsamic vinegar
1 Tablespoon olive oil
2 Teaspoons salt
1/2 Teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 Cup sliced scallions
1-1/2 Cups coarsely chopped celery
1 Cup sliced radishes

GARNISH
romaine lettuce leaves

Directions
Boil potatoes in a large pot of boiling salted water over medium heat just until tender, 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, make balsamic dressing: Whisk sour cream, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper in a large bowl until blended. Stir in all but 2 tbs sliced scallions. Drain potatoes well in a colander. Transfer to bow; add dressing and gently toss to coat. Let potatoes cool to room temperature. Add celery and radishes to potatoes in bowl and toss gently to combine. Line serving bowl with romaine leaves and spoon potato salad onto lettuce. Sprinkle salad with reserved scallions.

Cabbage and Potato Casserole Recipe

4 med. onions, sliced
1/4 c. butter
1 sm. head cabbage, sliced thinly
1/4 c. flour
4 med. potatoes, cooked & sliced
2 tbsp. butter
2 c. grated cheddar cheese
1 (13 oz.) can chicken broth

Melt butter, saute cabbage and onions. Layer cabbage mixture and potatoes in 3 quart casserole. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Melt 2 tablespoons butter. Add flour and chicken broth. Mix and heat to thicken, pour over casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
Serves 6-8.

Brown Flour Potato Soup Recipe

6 medium potatoes
3 C. water
3 C. milk
3 T. flour
3 T. butter
Salt, pepper and parsley

Peel and cut potatoes in slices. Boil them in salted water until tender. Add the milk and let simmer. Meanwhile brown the flour in the melted butter, stirring all the time over low heat; add it to the soup, stirring until the mixture thickens. Sprinkle with parsley and pepper. Serve with buttered crumbs, or squares of fried bread, or pretzels on top. You might boil some sliced onion with the potatoes, if you like.
Makes 6 Servings

Pork Tenderloin with Peaches Recipe

Ingredients
1 lb. pork tenderloin
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tsp. finely chopped gingerroot or 1 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. slivered almonds
1/2 c. chicken broth
3 med. peaches, pared and sliced*
6 green onions (with tops), cut into 1 inch pieces
3 c. hot cooked rice

Directions
Trim fat from pork tenderloin. Cut pork with grain into 2 inch strips. Cut strips across grain into 1/4 inch slices. (For ease in cutting, partially freeze pork about 1 1/2 hours.) Toss pork with 1 tablespoon oil, the soy sauce, gingerroot, cornstarch, pepper and garlic. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in 10 inch skillet over medium high heat until hot. Rotate skillet until oil covers bottom. Stir-fry pork and almonds 6 to 8 minutes or until pork is brown. Add chicken broth. Stir about 1 minute or until thickened. Add peaches and onions. Stir about 3 minutes or until peaches are hot. Serve over rice. 6 servings (about 3/4 cup each); 315 calories per serving. *1 package (16 ounces) frozen sliced peaches, thawed and drained, can be substituted for the fresh peaches.

Butter Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
2 cups butter,softened
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
6 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
decorator's sugar, optional

Directions
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well. Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Shape with a cookie press. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Decorate with sugar if desired. Bake at 350-degrees for 10-12 minutes or until edges are slightly brown.
Yield: 18-19 dozen 1-inch cookies.

Cheesecake Cookie Squares Recipe

Ingredients
5 Teaspoon Butter, softened
1 Cup Flour
1 Package 8 Ounce cream cheese, softened
2 Teaspoon Milk
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/3 Cup Brown sugar, packed
1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 Teaspoon Lemon juice

Directions
Heat over to 350. In a medium bowl blend thoroughly butter, brown sugar and flour with a fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Put 1 cup of the mixture aside for topping. Press remaining mixture into an 8x8x2 inch baking dish; bake for 15 minutes. In another bowl combine sugar and cream cheese, mixing until smooth. Thoroughly beat in egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla. Spread over the baked crust and sprinkle with remaining brown sugar mixture. Bake for 25 minutes. Let cool, then chill for at least 1 hour.
Cut into 16 squares; serve.

Chinese Almond Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
1 Cup margarine or butter
3/4 Cup sugar
1 Teaspoon almond extract
2 Cups sifted flour
1/2 Teaspoon baking powder
1/2 Cup ground almonds
Sugar
36 whole blanched almonds

Directions
Cream margarine and sugar, add almond extract. Sift flour and baking powder together. Mix gradually into margarine mix. Stir in ground almonds. Form into balls using rounded tablespoons of dough. Roll in sugar, place on cookie sheet. Press flat, top with whole almond. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees. Makes 3 dozen.

Potato Chip Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
1 Cup sugar
1 Cup shortening or butter
1 egg, beaten
1 Pinch of salt
1 Teaspoon soda
2 Cups flour
3/4 Cup crushed potato chops
3/4 Cup nuts

Directions
Mix all ingredients together. Roll into small balls. Flatten with fork dipped in flour. Bake until brown at 350 degrees.
4 dozen.

Potato Chip Cookies Recipe #2

Ingredients
2 sticks butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. self-rising flour
1 tsp. soda
6 oz. butterscotch pieces
2 c. potato chips, crushed

Directions
Mix all ingredients in order. Roll in small balls. Space about 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in 300F. oven. Cool before removing. Place on paper towels to catch any of the butter.
Makes about 5 dozen

Malted Milk Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, room temperature
1 small package vanilla pudding
2-1/4 c. flour
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1//2 tsp. salt
1 c. malted milk balls, crushed

Directions
Cream butter and both sugars together with the vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add pudding mix, mixing well. Combine flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Fold in malted milk balls. Drop cookie dough 2"s apart on baking sheet. Bake at 350F. 12 to 15 minutes. Cool on baking sheets for a couple minutes before removing.
Makes 3 -4 dozen
