I have switched from meat to turkey, chicken and fish. Turkey sometimes is quite dry especially the white ground turkey so I am always looking for recipes to add some spice and taste. Sunday I tried a very flavorful recipe for Turkey Sloppy Joes.

Quick and Easy Turkey Sloppy Joes Recipe

Ingredients
1 lb. lean ground turkey
1 large red onion, chopped
1 large green pepper, chopped
1 can (8 9z) tomato sauce
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1 t. dried oregano
1 t. ground cumin
1 t. chili powder
1/4 t. salt
8 hamburger buns, split

Directions
In large skillet, cook turkey, onion & pepper over medium heat 6-8 min. or until turkey is no longer pink & vegetables are tender, breaking up turkey into crumbles. Stir in tomato sauce, barbecue sauce and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, simmer, uncovered 10 min. to allow flavors to blend, stirring occasionally. Serve in buns. ( 251 cal. )
