Old Time Banana Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
3/4 c. sugar
3 heaping T. flour
2 egg yolks
2 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Bananas, sliced
Vanilla wafers

Directions
In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour, and milk. cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Temper the egg yolks into the mixture. Cook 3 - 5 minutes longer. Remove from heat and add vanilla. In a dish, layer cookies, bananas, pudding. Repeat layers. May be topped with meringue or whipped cream or--best of all--nothing. Serve at room temperature or chilled.

Banana Sheet Cake Recipe

Ingredients
2 sticks margarine
1/2 c. water
2 c. flour
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1-1/4 c. mashed bananas
1 c. nuts (pecan or walnuts)
1/4 c. sour milk
1 dash salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. soda
3/4 stick margarine
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 box confectioner sugar

Directions
Bring to boil margarine and 1/2 c. water. While hot pour over flour and sugar; mix. Add lightly beatened eggs, mashed bananas and nuts (if desired). Add sour milk, vanilla, baking soda and dash of salt. Pour into greased and floured large cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Frosting: Cream margarine, cream cheese and add confectioners sugar a little at a time. Frost cake with this mixture and sprinkle nuts if desired.

Banana Salad Recipe

Ingredients
1/4 c. lemon juice
2 bananas, sliced
1 apple, cubed
1/2 grapefruit or 1 orange, cubed
1/2 c. grapes, sliced
1 sm. can crushed or chunk pineapple, drained (reserve juice)

Directions
Add fruit to lemon juice and coat well.

Cherry and Banana Layer Dessert Recipe

Ingredients
3 bananas
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 lg. can cherry pie filling
1/4 c. heavy cream
4 candied cherries

Directions
Peel and slice the bananas and sprinkle them with lemon juice to prevent from discoloration. Arrange a layer of banana slices at the base of four tall glasses. Spoon a layer of cherry pie filling on top of the bananas, then add a layer of banana slices and another layer of cherry pie filling. Finish with a layer of banana. Whip the cream until stiff, then put a spoonful on top of each cherry and banana cup. Top each with a candied cherry and chill before serving.
