Oma's Pork Chops Recipes

Baked Pork Chops Recipe

4 pork chops
salt & pepper to taste
2 T. oil
1 lb. tart apples
2 T. butter
1 tsp. chopped fresh rosemary
1/2 c. broth

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Season chops with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a flame-proof casserole dish and brown chops for 2 minutes on each side. Peel, core and slice apples. Arrange slices in casserole around the chops and then dot with butter. Sprinkle with rosemary. Add broth and cover. Bake casserole in the oven for about 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake for 10 minutes. Serve with creamed potatoes and a salad.

Pork Chops In Mushroom Gravy Recipe

4-6 butterfly pork chops
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. rosemary
3/4 c. water
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1/2 c. sour cream
flour (to cover pork chops)
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste

Brown pork chops covered with flour, salt and pepper in skillet. Place browned chops in baking dish, pour soup mixture over them. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 - 2 hours, until tender. Pour soup mixture from baking dish into a saucepan, add 1/2 cup sour cream, heat until hot for gravy, stirring constantly
