Oma's Shrimp Tempura Recipe

Oma's Shrimp Tempura Recipe
Makes 4 Servings

1/2 cup milk
2-3/4 cup flour
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, beaten
4 cup oil
2-1/4 pounds Prawn shrimp (peeled and deveined)

Blend milk, 3/4 cup flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, eggs and 2 tablespoons oil into a smooth batter. Heat remaining oil to 375 degrees F. Dip shrimp into remaining flour, then into batter. Cook in oil 2-1/2 to3 minutes.
Serve hot.
