Pineapple Upside Down Cake Recipe

Ingredients
1/4 c. butter
2 T. pineapple juice
1/2 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. walnuts, crushed
5 to 7 slices of pineapple
Maraschino cherries
1 pkg. white or yellow cake mix (2 layer)

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter, brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of pineapple syrup in a saucepan. Stir in walnuts. Remove from heat; pour into a cake pan. Arrange pineapple and cherries over mixture. Prepare batter as directed on cake package. Pour over mixture in the cake pan. Bake in preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, until cake tests done. Let stand 5 minutes. Invert cake onto serving plate. Allow 2 to 3 minutes before removing pan. Serve warm with whipped cream.
