Thanks, Marilyn. That recipe sounds
delicious. I will definitely try it as
soon as I can find shrimp that is USA
based. Very difficult around here.
Here's another recipe for shrimp but it
makes a ton! Haven't tried cutting it in
Shrimp and Cheese Casserole
(good for breakfast or
6 slices white bread
1 pound prepared
shrimp ( ready to eat) (I used much more
about 2 lbs)
1/2 lb. Old English
cheese ( usually comes sliced)
cup butter, melted
1/2 t. dry mustard
Salt to taste
3 whole eggs, beaten
1 pint milk
bread into pieces about size of a
quarter. Break cheese into bite size
pieces. Arrange shrimp, bread, and
cheese in several layer in greased
casserole. Pour butter over mixture.
Beat eggs. Add mustard & salt to eggs.
Then add the milk.
Mix together &
pour this over ingredients in casserole.
Let stand a minimum of 3 hours,
preferably overnight in refrigerator,
covered. Bake 1 hour in 350 oven,
(Source: unknown, been
making for about 30 years) (Note! Be
sure to use a large casserole because it
really puffs up...about 3 qt. or 5 qt.)
