Creamed Kale and Onions Recipe

Ingredients
1 1/2 lb. kale, cleaned
2 lbs. small white onions, peeled (12)
1/4 c. shortening
3 T. flour
1 1/2 cup vegetable liquid or milk
Seasonings

Directions
Cook kale in boiling salted water, 15 min. or until tender.
Cook onions in boiling salted water, 15 min.
Drain and save vegetable liquid. Combine vegetables.
Make white sauce of shortening, flour, milk, salt & pepper.
Pour over kale and onions
Makes 6 Servings
