Nancy's Chicago Style Pizza Recipe

1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
6 oz. can tomato paste
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 to 1 1/2 tsp oregano
1 1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

1 can (10) biscuits, refrigerated buttermilk or country style
1 2 oz can (1/4 cup ) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1 tomato, sliced
1 cup shredded Mozzerella cheese

Heat oven to 350. Grease a 9" pie pan.

Brown beef and onion and drain.Stir in tomato paste,1Tbsp Parmesan cheese,oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer while preparing crust.
Separate dough into 10 biscuits. Arrange biscuits in prepared pan, pressing into bottom and up sides to form a crust. Spoon hot meat mixture into crust. Place mushrooms over meat. Arrange tomato slices over mushrooms. Sprinkle with Mozzerella and remaining Parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes or until crust is a deep golden brown. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
Serves 5-6
