Old Time Raisin Bread
1/4 pound butter
2 cups sugar
2 cups milk
3 eggs
2 Tablespoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 package raisins
1 cup chopped pecans
some whole pecans
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Add dry
ingredients alternately with milk. Add vanilla, raisins and
chopped pecans. Pour into 2 well buttered and floured loaf
pans. Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
Note: Use whole pecans to decorate tops of loaves before
baking.
