Cheesecake Topped Brownies

1 (21 or 23.6 oz.) package fudge brownie mix
1 ( 8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 can (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk, not evaporated
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Ready to spread chocolate frosting, optional, Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare brownie mix as package directs. Spread into well greased 13x9 baking pan.

In large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and cornstarch until fluffy.

Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk. Add egg and vanilla, beat until smooth. Pour cheesecake mixture over brownie batter.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until top is lightly browned. Cool spread with frosting if desired. Cut into bars.

Store covered in refrigerator.
Makes 36 to 40 bars.
