Chocolate Decadence Brownie
1 package (3.5 oz.) chocolate pudding mix, cook-n-serve kind
2 cups milk
1 package (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup chopped nuts, optional
vanilla ice cream, optional
Using pudding mix and milk, prepare pudding according to
package directions. Remove pudding from heat and stir in 1/2
the package of chocolate chips. Stir to melt chips. Cover
and refrigerate 3-4 hours (or see below for a warm treat).**
Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly spray 9x13 pan with nonstick
spray. Set aside.
Combine sugar and softened butter, stir in eggs and vanilla.
Add cocoa, flour and baking powder. Mix well. Stir in
remaining chocolate chips and optional chopped nuts. Spread
batter in prepared pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until
cooked through. Cool.
Stir pudding until smooth. Spread on cooled brownie crust.
Cut into 16 servings and serve with optional vanilla ice
cream or a cold glass of milk.
** NOTE: Cool pudding to lukewarm and serve over warm
brownie as a fudge sauce for a warm chocolate treat.
