Marshmallow Fudge Brownies
To Print

Marshmallow Fudge
Brownies
1/2 c. shortening
2 tbsp. cocoa
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. flour
1/4 c. nuts
1/4 tsp. baking powder
18 marshmallows, halved
Cream shortening and sugar, add eggs. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients, add
to creamed mixture and mix well. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake in 8x12 inch
pan, 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and put marshmallow halves
on top. Return to oven for 3 minutes. Spread until top is covered with
marshmallows. Let cool.
FROSTING:
1/4 c. brown sugar
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1 square unsweetened chocolate
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
Combine and boil for 3 minutes brown sugar, water, and chocolate. Add butter
and vanilla and let cool. Then stir in powdered sugar. Spread on brownies.
Cut in squares.
