The Best Brownies

1 stick margarine, melted
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1, 16 oz., can Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
1 cup + 1 tablespoon flour, sifted
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup nuts, optional

Combine margarine/shortening and sugar together. Add the eggs one at a time beating after each addition. Then add the chocolate syrup. Add flour and baking powder. Blend in vanilla and nuts if using. Bake in a jelly roll pan or cook sheet pan. Bake at 350ºF for 20 to 25 minutes. You can frost but I sprinkle powered sugar over them.
