Uses for Buttermilk

I use buttermilk for mashed potatoes and need to add no butter to them.

I make canned tomato soup with it instead of regular milk.
Gives it a bit of a zing.

I use it and baking mix for wonderful drop biscuits.
Also in cornbread mix.

When making cream of broccoli or potato soup I use it instead of higher fat ingredients. Only thing is be careful not to boil or it separates.

Have used it in making a pound cake from cake mix

* Powdered buttermilk does not have to be mixed separately. I just add the powder with my flour and the water with the my other liquids and let it mix in the batter.
