Cabbage Casserole

1 cabbage
1 Tbsp. butter
1 Tbsp. flour
1 pt. cabbage stock
salt and pepper
4 Tbsp. grated cheese
cracker crumbs

Boil cabbage for 15 minutes in salted water; drain; cool. Chop cabbage, put cabbage in buttered baking dish. Melt butter; stir in flour. Add cabbage stock; stir until smooth.

Season with salt and pepper; mix in grated cheese. Pour sauce over cabbage. Sprinkle with cracker crumbs. Dot with butter. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
