Cabbage Rolls with Creole Sauce

1 c. raw rice
1 lb. ground beef
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. minced onion
12 cabbage leaves

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 inch dish. Combine rice, ground beef, salt, pepper and onion. Cook cabbage leaves in boiling water 5 minutes until leaves are pliable.

Wrap a leaf of cabbage around 2 tablespoons of meat mixture. Place rolls seam side down in the casserole. Top with Creole Sauce.

1 onion, chopped
2 tbsp. margarine
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. tomatoes
1 tbsp. brown sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. vegetable liquid
Dash of Worcestershire sauce
Dash of sage
