Sweet and Sour Meatloaf

1-1/2 lbs. ground beef
Salt & pepper
1 sm. diced onion
1 egg
Cracker crumbs (or 3/4 c. oatmeal)
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. salad style mustard

Mix the ground beef, salt and pepper, onion, egg and crumbs. Combine the tomato sauce, vinegar, brown sugar and mustard in another bowl. Add 1/2 of the sauce to the meat mixture. Mix thoroughly. Form long low loaf in shallow pan. Pour remaining sauce over top of loaf. Bake 45 to 60 minutes at 400 degrees. Baste occasionally if needed.
