Refrigerator Crock Salad
1 med. cabbage
4 carrots
2 red peppers
2 green peppers
2 lg. onions
2 tsp. celery seed
2 tsp. salt
2 c. white vinegar
2 1/2 c. sugar
Chop or grind the cabbage, carrots, peppers and onions. Add
celery seed and salt and soak in cold water for 2 hours.
Drain well. Mix vinegar and sugar and pour over ingredients.
Store in refrigerator and use as needed. Recipe is 50 years
old. The longer it sets, the better it gets.
