Baked Macaroni
Take a dozen sticks of macaroni; boil until tender in two quarts of water; put
into a baking dish a layer of macaroni; then bits of butter and a little salt;
then a layer of grated cheese; and so on until the dish is full; fill up with
milk, and set into the oven; cover over, bake an hour slowly, then remove the
cover and brown nicely.
