BEEF WITH ACORN SQUASH

2 Pounds lean beef, such as round, cubed about 1 1/2"
1 acorn squash, peeled, seeded,
and cut in 1" pieces
2 Large red potatoes, cubed in 1 1/2"
pieces
1 Large onion, quartered, and
sliced 1/4" thick
1 Package dry mushroom gravy mix
1 Can diced tomatoes with juice - (14 1/2 oz)
1/4 Teaspoon allspice
1/4 Teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 Teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper
2 Large bay leaves
Salt, to taste

Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours. This recipe yields 6 servings.
