Corn Dogs
2/3 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg, slightly beaten
3/4 c. milk
1 lb. wieners
Mix all ingredients until you have a smooth batter. Pat
wieners dry with a paper towel. Put wooden skewers in
wieners. Dip wieners into batter and drop into oil and cook
until golden brown on all sides. Drain and serve with
mustard.
