Over Labor day week-end we were busy and caught our meals on the fly. We had to get our older granddaughter from her dad's on Labor day and we were wanting our brats for dinner. Will I got on the internet and found a couple of recipes to give me an idea of how to cook them in the crock pot. Here is what I came up with. If you need the grill marks on them either get that before you put them in the crock pot or after they have cooked and do that for only 5 minutes total (2½ minutes on one side then turn them over cooking them on grill 2½ more minutes).

Susie's Crock Pot Brats

1 large onion for 4 people
as many peppers as you want, we didn't use any
salt and pepper to taste
use number of brats you need, we used 2 for 2 people I slightly poked each brat
1 bottle of beer, make sure they are half way covered with beer
mustard

Get only the plain and uncooked brats. Put items in crock pot as list above. Turn on your crock pot to low and let cook for 5 to 6½ hours depending how many you have used. Enjoy as we did.

Everyone have a great day. Nancy and 4 legged associates take care, stay safe and stay cool or warm depending on the weather.
