Whiskey Sauce For Cajun Bread Pudding

Good sauce for any bread pudding
(I double it for this recipe)

1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 beaten egg yolk
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons bourbon

In a small saucepan melt margarine or butter.
Stir in sugar, egg yolk and water. Cook and stir
constantly over medium heat for 5 to 6 minutes
or until sugar dissolves and mixture boils. Remove
from heat and stir in bourbon. Serve warm.
